Aid has enabled the population of Haiti to go from 4 million to 10 million in 50 years. In a country that couldn't sustain 4 million, it's absurd to think that it could, or should, sustain 10 million.

Any aid to any poor nation, particularly food aid, is merely a Band-Aid that may make the donors feel warm and fuzzy, but it's worse than nothing in the long term.

Sustainability and population control are the keys to the future of life on Earth, and the sooner we practice that, the better off we will all be.

Therefore, with a bettersense of geographic environmental awareness, eco-considerations,building codes with more safe or sound structure choices that will keepthese infrastructures standing in the events of future natural disasters orchallenges. Several of the world's major cities from many developedcountries such as the United States, Germany, the United Arabs Emiratesand even India are more or less well planned out engineering citiesthat followed building codes and structure integrity rules which thesame cannot be said in Haiti's case.

Many ideas for change often at first tend to sound improbable, especially in theories. Nonetheless, those ideas, no matter how extreme, may also often seem quite feasible depending on just how much optimism they are looked upon with. Improbability and skepticism has never stopped the human race and power from overcoming, achieving many goals before and they sure are not about to start now.
